Solutions: ‘out-of-the-box’

I feel compelled to chip in again.
What ails South Africa can only be cured (or at least ameliorated) if ALL South Africans find a common purpose (e.g. to rapidly ameliorate the socioeconomically marginalized within a peaceful/productive landscape) and WORK resolutely to achieve it.

Stop using race, gender, class, colonialism and national origin as identity departure points and causal agents.  Use history, science and just plain good education and humanism to expose their harmful/degrading mythological components, and the SA Constitution, religious structures, rule of law, peaceful mass action and the ballot to eradicate their evil consequences.

Confront demagogues, ‘messiahs’, bullies and crooks of all persuasion.

Use whatever restorative means necessary (Ubuntu, Indabas, restorative justice, conditional amnesty) to stop lawbreaking and recover misappropriated funds/goods.

If/when these don’t work use more punitive measures.

Promote collective action when it gets the job done, but not at the expense of individual freedom, rational debate and ‘out-of-the-box’ innovation.

Sure, emulate applicable aspects of post-colonial successes like Singapore, but don’t implement tactics/strategies that violate/undermine the Constitution.
